Tip of the Day #247:Protect your Cell Phone

When at the beach this summer, protect your phone from sand and water damage by placing in a Ziploc bag. You can still use it through the plastic! I personally have ruined phones in the past by sand getting in and under the screen.

  1. Another really clever idea is to use an old sun screen bottle that has a large/wide lid like Coppertones's Water Babies Pure & Simply (pink bottle blue lid). Once the container is empty, pop off the lid, clean out the bottle and cap with hot soapy water. Then cut into the top of the bottle but no as to remove the lip that the lid needs in order to snap back on. Once you have this you can slip your mobile, keys, money, etc and no one is any of the wiser. Your mobile is not only water proofed but safe from prying eyes that a looking for unsuspecting swimmers/beach comers because it's camouflaged!
